Introduction
Upon the 100th anniversary of the founding of Tongji University, Bank of China and Tongji University jointly launched Bank of China-Tongji Recognition Credit Card, a college co-branded card for Tongji alumni and staff. Besides offering basic functions and services of a standard Bank of China Credit Card, the card is also a symbol of alumni identity, leading to exclusive services including alumni privilege, alumni club service and free wealth management consultancy.
Functions
As a dual currency credit card under the international standards, Bank of China-Tongji Recognition Credit Card offers the basic functions and services of Bank of China's standard credit card, including payment after consumption, interest-free period of repayment, minimum payment amount and other revolving credit functions as well as cash advance, installment, global merchant discounts, reward points and so on, fully satisfying customer needs for consumption and wealth management. In addition, the card offers multiple measures including SMS reminder, optional password verified card payment and zero risk loss report to protect the card safety.
Features
1. Donation to Alma Mater
At the year-end settlement of this credit card, Bank of China will donate 0.12% of customer's payment amount to "Bank of China-Tongji" alumni foundation to build a better future for the university.
2. Alumni privilege
This card comes with many privileges, giving access to Tongji campus, the library and reference room for researching or borrowing, as well as preferential accommodation rates at Tongji hotel and guest house. With this card, customers could also attend professional lectures and alumni club events organized by the university. Moreover, publications will be sent to keep customers updated with the latest news of the university and help them stay in close contact with their Alma Maters and other alumni.
3. Preferential wealth management consultancy
This card provides preferential services including free wealth management consultancy and other special offers at appointed service outlets near Tongji University (Preferential services may vary at different outlets).

Procedures
The following documents are required for card application:
1. Identity documents: Bank of China accepts the principal card applicants aged between 18 and 65 and supplementary card applicants aged 16 or older.
For domestic residents:
A copy of valid ID card or interim ID card (both sides), or military ID card;
For foreign nationals:
① Valid passport;
② Copy of Residence Permit for Foreigners, or copy of Residence Permit for Foreigner attached to the visa page in the passport or copy of Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners;
For citizens from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan:
A copy of Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents, Hong Kong and Macau Compatriot Home-visiting Permit or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents.
2. Evidence of permanent residence (Any of the items below):
Copy of Hukou card (book);
The water, electricity and gas payment voucher of the latest three periods;
The fixed-line telephone payment voucher of the latest three periods;
Dormitory evidence issued by the employer;
House Lease Contract (Agreement);
Self-owned property certificate;
Payment voucher for residential property management fee;
Residence certificate issued by the community office;
Credit card statements for the latest two months or the individual income tax payment certificates for the latest three months;
Other supporting documents which can testify to the permanent residential address.
3. Financial status documents（Any of the items below):
Regular payroll or income proof of the latest three months issued by governmental institutions or enterprises (company seal or department seal required);
Copy of passbook/statement for agency salary payment issued by the agent bank (with salary information of the latest three months);
Copy of individual income tax payment certificate for the latest three months;
Copy of withholding certificate for social security payment;
Copy of self-owned property certificate;
Copy of certificate/passbook of bank time deposit and current deposit;
Copy of purchase certificate for fund, T-bond and corporate bond (with the buyer's name, account number and account balance);
Copy of membership cards and the like, including: golf membership card, China Mobile/China Unicom VIP card, Air China platinum, gold and silver membership cards, China Southern Sky Pearl gold and silver membership cards, Eastern Miles Club gold and silver membership cards and so on. (with cardholder name and validity of the card).
Customers can submit the application form to a Bank of China counter.
